|Treebarks powder reduces acute intestinal absorptive disorders and compensates for maldigestion, it is therefore good to give during acute bouts of diarrhoea and the recovery period after illness. It soothes the entire digestive tract because of its natural source of anti-inflammatory, pain relieving compounds and at the same time slows the passage of food through the system which increases absorption of nutrients. Tree bark powder has a low fat content and is highly recommended for dogs with acute intestinal absorptive disorders such as EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency), bringing relief and helping to firm up their stools.
Tree bark powder is also good for helping young animals through their weaning period due to its easy digestibility and also it is an excellent food for cats and dogs that suffer from poor digestion. It is also often given to cats with delicate digestions where even a small dose in every meal can help cats increase their tolerance to that food, which is especially useful when changing a feeding regime.
