Black Angus Beef
We have chosen to use Black Angus beef in our recipes not only because it is a high quality protein, but because it excels in flavour, it contains 14% collagen and it is lower in saturated fat than most other types of beef. Angus beef is also abundant in minerals and vitamins, plus it contains all nine essential amino acids. Beef is also good for your pet's nervous system and brain function. It is also well known to be useful during convalescence after an illness or operation, as it can help counteract muscle wasting and weakness more than other proteins. Black Angus beef is also good for skin health and fur quality, plus the calcium and phospherous it contains helps support bones and teeth. As beef is also good for muscle development and repair, plus boosting the immune system, it is perfect to feed your dog during convalescence.
We only use human grade Black Angus beef that is sourced from within the UK from farmers we know and trust. The fresh meat is chilled at a constant 4°C throughout its journey, so you can rest assured it is received in excellent condition. Like all our meat, it is then tested in labratories before cooking. Once the meat has passed various tests it is then cooked at a gentle 82°C to protect its collagen and proteins and to ensure it is all bioavailable to your dog. This means less waste!
